Powerboat 2 Course with Frazer at Sailexmouth. A fantastic, fun and informative course with great instruction. The course took me from a complete novice with no boating background whatsoever, to being able to control and manoeuvre a powerboat in a range of circumstances and conditions. An absolutely brilliant 2 days. I can not recommend this course and Sailexmouth highly enough.... Professional, courteous and fun!

I highly recommend SailExmouth! I just finished my 2-day Powerboat Level 2 course and had the absolute best time. I’ve just completed the two-day RYA Powerboat Level 2 course with SailExmouth, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Fraser was an excellent instructor throughout the two days. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the River Ex and the surrounding area, very competent, patient and clearly knows his stuff. I came away feeling much more confident and having thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
The RIB we used was excellent, the conditions were great, and the classroom and venue were spot on as well.
It was a fantastic two days from start to finish — absolutely brilliant course and a great experience. I’d highly recommend Sail Exmouth and Fraser to anyone looking to do their Powerboat Level 2.

I did my power boat level 2 training here and had two absolutely brilliant days on the water. I feel so much more confident and had a really fun time. Really recommend Frazer - great, patient and knowledgeable teacher.

Absolutely brilliant 2 days with Frazer doing the RYA power boat level 2 course, he’s so knowledgeable and gave us brilliant local tips and advice, super practical and helpful. Finished off with a beer in the sunshine at Exe Cafe. I’d absolutely recommend him.

I recently attended a Level 2 Powerboating course with my children (aged 12–14), and we had a fantastic couple of days on the water with Frazer and Naomi. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and we all learned so much about safe driving and manoeuvring, water safety, knots, and how to read river charts.
They kept the course fun and engaging, and the children's session was perfectly pitched for their age group. I now feel confident that my kids can safely handle a powerboat and have a much better understanding of how weather and tides can affect their adventures.

I’ve never sailed before. Where do I start?+
A two-hour sailing taster is a relaxed introduction. If you’d like a structured course, ask us about RYA Level 1 Start Sailing. We’ll help you choose based on your experience and goals.
Can children take part?+
Yes. Youth sailing follows the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme, with a recommended starting age of seven on our existing programme. Contact us to discuss your child’s age, confidence and the right group.
Do I need my own equipment?+
Course equipment is included in the published prices. Ask the team what clothing and personal items to bring for your course and the forecast.
How do I check dates and book?+
